Crowds gathered on the southern shore of Kyrgyzstan's Lake Issyk-Kul recently to witness the vibrant spectacle of the Salbuurun Festival — a spirited celebration of nomadic heritage.

Held in the village of Bokonbaevo, the festival offered a whirlwind of traditional sports, art, and music, all rooted in centuries-old customs.
