BEIJING -- The Shenzhou XX crew aboard China's orbiting space station — astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie — has been steadily advancing various space science experiments and tests.

In the area of space medicine, the crew utilized electroencephalogram devices to perform experimental tests covering a range of projects, such as upper and lower visual field studies, executive-function training and exploratory utilization research.

Last week, the crew used equipment such as an eye tracker and necessary testing software to conduct experiments on microgravity relational cognition and human-machine trust and collaboration in space.

These activities assist ground researchers in advancing their study of how microgravity affects relational cognition and its underlying mechanisms, while also capturing patterns in the evolution of astronauts' trust of AI assistants during long-term, in-orbit space flight.

The three astronauts also underwent vascular ultrasound examinations. By gathering data on the morphological features, hemodynamic parameters and functional metrics of various human organs and systems over different durations in orbit, they aim to enhance our understanding of how blood flow patterns evolve within the human body's pan-vascular network in weightless conditions.

In the domain of human-factors technology research, the crew carried out in-orbit testing and data collection to study how operational forces vary with typical long-term, in-orbit postures.

They compared and analyzed the differences between Earth and space environments for multiple types of operational forces, such as push-pull and rotational forces, along with their in-orbit variations, helping to identify the mechanisms behind these changes.

Additionally, they installed and tested a universal biological cultivation module in the station's life and ecological science experiment cabinet, laying the groundwork for future research in the space life sciences.

While carrying out these scientific activities, the crew also actively maintained the station's equipment and implemented health protection measures.
