Travel cost maximization in uncertain economy is on the agenda

Hotel Reservation Service, or?HRS, held the 2013 Global Corporate Travel Forum in Shanghai. The theme of the forum is "Driving Innovation and demonstrating solutions in Business Travel Management", and it provides the in-depth analysis on current trends and future growth of the travel industry in China. Business travel expenditure was $18 billion in 2000, $62 billion in 2010 and is expected to reach $277 billion in 2020, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council.

China is currently the second largest business travel market and it is predictable that China will overtake the United States to become the largest business travel market in 2015.

Chinese travel market also face many challenges, including the limited experience of travel cost management of corporates and the low level of synergy of travel industry.
