Could you explain “hybrid car”?

My comments: A “hybrid car” is a vehicle that runs under two methods of power. Most “hybrid cars” operate with gasoline and electricity, but French automobile manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citro?n has plans to make a new “hybrid” vehicle using diesel and 4WD technology, which combines a diesel engine and an electric motor, according to their website.

“Hybrid cars” are becoming popular considering high gas prices. And the growing green movement has prompted many to invest in a “hybrid car” as they are better for the environment. Hybrids produce much less pollution than standard gasoline cars. But the drawback for many is that “hybrid cars” also have less power and for some, driving a vehicle with better horsepower is more important than cutting emissions and helping the earth.
